Dear John,

I would like to thank you very much for your expert assessment and repair of my trusty Everest & Jennings P2Plus wheelchair.

In my 50’s I was diagnosed with MS. As the MS progressed I needed a wheelchair that would travel well (I decided that the MS was not going to stop me!) and a wheelchair that would be sturdy and safe. I was fortunate to have an excellent physiotherapist in Toronto, who selected the Everest & Jennings P2Plus for me.

I am now 78 years young and still using my E&J P2Plus! After extensive travel throughout North America, my P2Plus looked like new but I finally had worn out my wheels. I was shown competitors’ wheelchairs but none were as solid, safe, light, flexible and durable as my E&J P2Plus. So as a temporary solution, I had installed on my wheelchair previously used wheels with a little more tread.

While visiting my daughter in Atlanta, my temporary replacement wheels fell apart while we were shopping at Neiman Marcus at Lenox Mall! We made it back to my daughter’s home and started making phone calls to find a repair person. While getting the wheels repaired, I mentioned to Mr. Kusller in Snellville GA, that I would love to find an E&J replacement chair. He told me that Graham-Field Health Products owns the E&J line and that the G-F headquarters were here in Atlanta!! I called the G-F headquarters and was referred to Technical Support, where my daughter and I were introduced to you John.

John, you knew my wheelchair model and you listened to what I was looking for. You made suggestions. You also appreciated my time deadlines, as I was leaving for Toronto soon. To make it convenient for me, you invited us to your dealer/distributor showroom to have a look at and try the new wheelchair models.

I was amazed to see G-F’s massive showroom and the breadth of G-F’s health products. The minute I met you John and you saw my wheelchair, you commented that my chair looked like it was new and that it had been well kept. Little did you know that my wheelchair has been to see the Rocky Mountains, enjoy Thrashers’ hockey, experience the Metropolitan Opera in NY, cheer on the Walt Disney World Marathoners, enjoy Blue Jays’ baseball, peruse many antique centres and enjoy many visits with family and friends!

John, you suggested that given the excellent state of my P2Plus wheelchair, I really didn’t need a new wheelchair. You suggested that G-F manufacture new wheels for my wheelchair and install them before I leave for Toronto!! John – you cared more about me, my comfort and safety – a rare quality these days.

Thank you for introducing us to Ms. Bea Scherer. Bea’s caring demeanor and her obvious passion for G-F’s high quality products, excellence in product design and customer satisfaction, was evident. Leadership makes a big difference and sets the tone for a company. I will certainly take every opportunity to recommend Graham-Field, back home in Canada and in my travels across the United States.

Well, I am on my way back to Toronto. I will never forget Graham-Field and especially you John, for your help. I will keep on rolling thanks to all of you!!
