The addition of the timer creates the ability to administer treatment for 30 minutes, 60 minutes, or continuously. TENS or transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation applies non-invasive mild electrical stimulation to the skin. The stimulation interferes with the transmission of the painful stimuli impulses resulting in decreased pain sensation.
The GF-3T Transcutaneous Electrical Stimulation (TENS) system is intended for use under a physician’s prescription for the symptomatic relief and management of chronic (long term) pain and for the treatment of postoperative or posttraumatic pain. The unit comes complete with a 9 volt battery, carrying case, lead wires, instruction manual, and electrodes.
